Community Heritage Grant

In 2012 the museum was awarded a Community Heritage Grant by the National Library of Australia to enable the conduct of a significance assessment of the library and associated collections.

The grant application is here. Supporting information is here.

The board had been kept informed about the progress of the submission. It is necessary for the collection to have a significance assessment before any other grants can be made.

When the grant was received certain difficulties were perceived, and so a basic summary and the attached draft plan of possible actions was prepared.

The board did not approve any of these actions and accordingly I drafted a letter declining the grant and the money was returned to NLA.
