The ‘New Sparrow’ trophy at the Air and Space Museum at le Bourget

On 29 April 1913, Maurice Guillaux beat the world record for distance on one day. He flew for 9 hours on a journey of 1225 km between Biarritz and Kollom, in the Netherlands, at an average speed of 140 km/hr.
